they are prone to sickness.
under 2yo, RSV lovessss them. syukur bukan influenze as now is the musim. 70% - 80% warded in semua due to influenza. semoga sihat cpt semuanya Amin.

started w a short demam days, he started to have sounds from his lungs (with stethoscope).

admitted into the hospital for 6 days.
manja la budak tu 6 days ddk dgn mama dia.
ignoring how scared the mom was sbb kena sleep hospital. im sooo not a hospital person. takut hantu.
syukur alhamdulillah sihat dah.

once balik nursery now manja sgt2 tak mau be put down once home.
this shall pass. tak tahan sedih the cries everytime neb, nose suction, everytime cucuk ubat masuk via branula pun cry sakit sgt2, branula tangan dah bounce bengkak, cucuk pula kaki and so on.

didoakan semua anak2 sihat kuat selalu amin.
bukan senang mak ayah pun bertukar2 shif just to have the life ongoing.
other 3 kids perlu ke sekolah, kafa so the send offs and pickups all should go on like normal.

alhamdulillah. settle. dgn bantuan dan rahmat Allah.

My Malay Newborn Baby

 

Baby's thing:

Baby mandi air suam
Pakai minyak telon di perut, belakang badan, legs and tapak kaki
Pakai barut
Booties and mittens
Swaddle
Cuci tali pusat everyday sampai luruh
Minum susu every 2-3hours, WAJIB
Sleep tanpa bantal, their neck still very soft
Sleep on bed yang tak tenggelam, important for their spine to stay straight
Only sleep face up selama yang boleh to prevent SIDS, they cannot turn/roll back yet kalau muka ter'face' on tilam

Berpantang Cara Mama and Kak Mas

 

       

Pantang 44 hari

1. no telur
2. no kicap/toyu
3. no kunyit dlm masakan pada awalnya sbb baby kuning, after baby dah okay stable, pelan2 can guna kunyit in masakan
4. ikan isi putih saja (siakap, bawal putih, selar etc.)
5. pantang suami isteri 100 days
6. berurut
7. bertungku
8. bertangas
9. modern2 ni ada sauna pulak kan
10. pakai barut/bengkung and berparam
11. pakai sweater
12. put on socks
13. ikat rambut tocang tinggi
14. in kain batik all the time
15. ada yg berpilis di dahi
16. air mandi always air daun-daunan yang direbus, mandi semasa air masih suam
17. alongside ubat2 Doctor
18. bfast roti & milo/horlicks etc
19. lunch nasi and lauk - selalunya sup ikan or ikan bakar or ikan masak asam (nasi always panas/suam) with sayur sup (sawi or brocolli)
20. lots of air masak/air kosong suam
21. dinner pun nasi and lauk (sama mcm lunch, ada yg pesan if possible jgn ulang lauk tghari)
22. teatime and supper - get biskut kering cicah milo or horlicks
23. sleep A LOT (as much as one can get, sbb in pantang baby banyak sleep only especially during the day)
24. no lifting anything except for the baby
25. jaga ibu jari kaki, kalau tersepak anything might prone to bleeding again sbb rahim belum kuat/recover sepenuhnya
26. no ikan haruan at all. good for scar but dia akan mencakup luka dalam dengan sgt2 cepat takut cakupan tu tak okay
27. no book reading/phone reading/tv watching sbb urat mata 
28. kalau caeser lepas mandi pls dry scar ceaser sebaik mungkin, jgn biarkan busuk, berair, bernanah or berdarah again
29. no laksa for 1 year
30. no bihun, mee, spaghetti, koayteow sudden2 sgt selepas habis pantang, take it slow
31. no seafood party cpt2 sgt after habis pantang, semuanya perlu mula balik slow and steady
32. tak boleh kena air hujan LANGSUNG, even after dah habis pantang, kena jaga2 lagi

33. hari2 sapu minyak nona roguy peha, betis, tapak kaki

the above mmg ada mitos2nya, but to respect the elderlies' tradition tak salah, asalkan makan and have a healthy pantang period. kalau doctor akan kata semua boleh makan as long as tak allergic. to me, ambik tradisi org tua, yg tak bercanggah agama, yg baik utk kesihatan, utk dpt rehat yg cukup so u recover well.

Pengalaman All The Cucuks Thingy

Well, talk about cucuk and blood withdrawals and stuff.

Seriously not my thing.
But kita berdamai dengan takdir for my kids.

Everytime pregnant I would register myself for checkups both at KK government and private hospital. So this is my list of things that I had to go through, tak suka, tak nak, tau mau, sakit, BUT, demi anak.
I went through it all. Moms.

> daily visit to KK
> daily BPs
> daily urine
> daily weight check

Cucuk thingy:
> countless blood withdrawal for HB/ FBC - full blood count
> PE profile x 2 (KK and private hospital)
> Claxene x 14 (post caesar to avoid blood clotting, di perut and di peha)
> Dexa x 5 (buttocks, 1130pm pun drove from home to hospital for the injection, and 1 at government hospital sebelum operation)
> Mags (ubat yg sgt panas, directly cucuk into me directly and indirectly i.e. via branula - peluh sampai misi tolong ambilkan tissue tolong lap dahi and muka, the heat could be felt terus)
> Tetanus x 1
> Cosmofer x 8 (buttocks - tak kurang sakitnya compared to Dexa, and dangg what it did to my buttocks)
> Branula x 3 (both tangan kanan kiri kena)
> Spinal AND epidural - risk of longer operation

So..simpan di sini sebagai kenangan.
Pahit. tp lalui dulu yg pahit utk dpt Muhammad Ilyas yang sgt manis tu.

Baby and Your Worries

Ada baby ni, your worry is infinity. since dlm perut, until forever.
The carousel never stops. When the baby in the tummy, u worry about

• baby's growth in tummy (overall)
• terlilit tali pusat
• sudden still death
• placenta lekang etc

(seriously, worry abt the mother should be at par dgn perasaan worry for the baby, but being moms, u just want to know your baby is fine)

once baby is born:

• mata bertaik
  
• tersumbat hidung
• hingus non stop
• jaundice
• unexplained skin rashes
• liking one side only i.e. sleeping one side, terkepek telinga
• tersedak susu
• demam
• selsema
• tak poop for few days
• cirbir

Macam tu lah.

semoga semua anak2 membesar sihat amin.

mereka2 yg punya hati dan semangat demi saudara sesama islam di sana. leaving small kids and family behind. belum tentu akan pulang dgn selamat.
