Ho Chi Minh City Dec 2014 Trip

Farra my travel buddy came up with the idea of our vacay to HCMC,Vietnam. So we planned for a 4d 3n trip. Off on a Friday and came back on Monday.She did a very very good job with the itinerary I tell you! :)

If its not a shopping trip,4d should be enough I guess. We covered every single place of interest in District 1. Booked Mifuki Inn for the whole 3n stay via online. We got a very great deal. Well yeah you know you dont really stay in the hotel during vacay right? Hotel is just for the changing,sleeping and bathing. So you dont really have to choose over the top hotel and pay at higher price. We booked a standard room,ending up we we upgraded to a deluxe room throughout our stay.Rezeki.Alhamdulillah. (the stays came with breakfast in the morning tau,which is soooo important to me!)

Anyhow,we took a cab at the airport and off to our inn and we started our adventure! Although cabs are available at every single corner of your eyes, we didnt take any cab visiting around District 1 (except for going to Hard Rock Cafe). We walked around.Near or far,we really walked. Ben Thanh market is 600m away from the hotel.So at minimum, we went there like twice per day.Haha.

Taxi drivers do not speak English well. If anything,just keep place addresses and show them. They'll bring you there. Dont get me started on Hard Rock Cafe HCMC. Awesome possum and it is a real underground cafe tau! We were so lucky Jogadanz the band was there performing. We went to the cafe on our very first night in hcmc right after having our dinner at Serai (thanks to Serai's abg tolong tahan cab for us). Can never forget literally performed alongside the band thruout All About The Bass and Price Tag!

Not to mention Malaysian Street opposite Ben Thanh Market. Loads of fun!Malaysians are everywhere shopping and eating and everything. And the locals at the street,they speak Malay! Had a good dinner at Hjh Basirah and ada snap a pic with the restaurant owner.One friendly lady she is. We did try Halal Saigon opposite the mosque next to Sheraton. Tak tau dah nak cerita yang mana satu dulu. Evrything is soooo homey.

Mekong trip and Cu Chi Tunnel trip found us extra friends from all over the world. Hell of loads of fun!I love you Saigon,I do!

had a lunch with fatimah.
our offices are a walking-distance from each other. so we met up at bucida.i had the grilled fish and she had the chicken.

we talked like nobody's business.if we could,we would stay there for the rest of the day.

it was a good catchup and i hope for more luncheons with u fatim!!!

we signed up for another mini adventure today for raihan's bash.
escape room e-curve.
we chose mysterious room as thats the least scarry room they can offer.
and we had her bday dinner at italiannies.
and oh,went for nina's 4th bday party (baby girl of diana's at putramas) earlier.
end up the night with mockingjay part 1.
and yup,another fight .

MCIS Deepavali 2014

It was last Wednesday all Aishwarya Rais and Shah Rukh Khans gathered at level 9 Tower 2 for Deepavali luncheon.understood that they planned to have an opening performance ended up cancelling it.well.

food was tasty and as usual,my office siblings and i had fun with our very own so-called photography session.we were being us,acting all crazy.

that late evening,i had an economics presentation and guess what? i became shikhin kapoor! haha. done with BOREO the cookies,off to subang,and off to cheras. #nasiroyalealoqstaq

Of Nasi Royale and Punjabi Suit

picked up afi from subang airport last night.touched down at 930pm.he came with gold.and by gold i mean nasi royale from aloq staq. :)

didnt plan to sleep over at abg's house.so....i brought nothing with me.for a sleepover.had royale supper in subang and slept.today mcis is having deepavali celebration.u gotta be either shah rukh or aishwarya.

ended up borrowing everything from kak syaza.everything from last nyte's baju kelawar to today's evening class presentation on boreo.

when u thought ure hanging on tight, u fall.when u thought ure losing so much,u still holding on for that so little left.
i had better days.obviously,today is just another day to be documented in that bad-days list.
no one's answering calls.no one's talking like real talking anymore.conversation started with um not-so-believing u know.and of course,ended up with um,nothing.more tears could make me literally blind and oh well,i told myself to give them a rest.
the eyes are tired.
my brain is tired.
and we pray for a better day tomorrow coz there's just no u-turn to yesterday and moving forward and face another million of godzilla days is um,let us say,part of our lives and part of us all growing up.

nuz went to penang for a short vacay with husband.she asked 'Level 6 Gangstaz' which dvd series do we want.
i requested for grey's anatomy season 1-5.
and marathon starts tonight.yeay that!
nuz brought back some jambu air and jeruk pak ali for IAD.
so thoughtful of u nuz.and thanks much for the dvds.

Vegan la sangat

i was so hungry last night (pouring rain) so i decided to do some snacking.
vege snacks.
there were carrots and long beans,so i boiled them with some black pepper.

Festival of Lights

drove to gopi grandma's house at jalan ibukota for lunch.

the crowd was aweeeeeeesome!!
met the dad,the mom,the sissies,the brothers,the grandma and grandpa,aunt and uncle.
they were so welcoming.thanks for the invitation and homemade choc cookies!!

Coz it didnt pop

went to the clinic near my office this morning.
had a terrible night not sleeping trying all home remedy so that bubble-feeling in my left ear will go away or pop or something.

(well obviously it did not)
dr said that im actually having a fever,flu and starting to talk thru my nose.
ended up with 5 packs of pills and one bottle of drop-med.

just because the ear doesnt pop.

The fooooddd was awesome.

It was so awesome that made me off to bed at 9pm!!
