Jumpa Orang Yang Baik Baik

Yesterday, while performing the audit at Hospital Bukit Mertajam, bumped into this one Indian uncle, Cikgu Puvan. Nearly 82, he drove himself to the hospital for his regular checkup, walked well quite far from where he parked. Has a very very positive attitide towards life. Reminded me of my late grandad, Tok Ba. Tall, thin, white hair, wise man.

He was holding this Danielle Steel Vanished book amongst other medical documents. Thats what made me and Suguna stopped him. And he prayed for our blessing right away. We asked whether he was rushing somewhere and he said no.

So we stopped at "Balai Pelawat" and have a 20-30min conversation with the wise man. Born in Kedah, raised in Bukit Mertajam, studied in England, worked in Kelantan and now living in Taman Bukit, Bukit Mertajam. Very nice chap, has a 70yo wife and 2 kids. One is pursuing her study in UKM, and another is a Motorola Engineer.

An Ustaz in Kelantan advised him once that "wherever you go, leave 3 good things for others to enjoy" and he reminded us to always be good. Just do good. Send your kids to Chinese school as another language is another advantage. Teach kids to read, only by reading you will fly. Whatever religion you believe in, all teaches the us just to be good, be kind. I asked him on what is his view on life, he answered that life is great. Yes with all the troubles and tough times, but life is great. Go through all, and it all will turn out just great.

We walked him to his car and thats that. We offered a wheel chair and he said no, he has to walk. He has to be healthy, he has to do this by himself. Before, he walked 20km a day, and now around 5km as the Doctor advised him that 20km is too much for his age and his leg.

Well it was a very-very good conversation/walk and I will remember this for a longgg longgg time.
I pray for your health and happiness Cikgu!

Love,
Kin.
